Montmartre: The village perched above Paris

Free · no booking Loop route

Duration
1 h 50 min approx.
Distance
3.0 km on foot
Stops
10 stops

A loop around the hill that Paris annexed in 1860 and never quite tamed. From Guimard's metro entrance and the Wall of Love to Van Gogh's home, the last windmills, the man trapped in the wall, the cabaret of the painting donkey, Suzanne Valadon's house, the Place du Tertre, the Sacré-Cœur and the garden of the Commune, ending at Picasso's studio. Ten stops, about three kilometres with steep climbs and stairs on the way down, and about two hours, not counting time inside the buildings.

Start and end Place des Abbesses and the Wall of Love
